Hill Country at the library

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
Members of Hill Country have begun their second month of volunteering at the McIntsosh Memorial Library in Viroqua. Last spring, the library reached out to area churches in need of volunteers to work their after school program. They had been running this program for years with the schools until it lost funding. They wanted to figure out a way to bring the program back while investigating better ways of funding it. After school childcare is a major need that families have in our community. From the beginning of the church planted process, we wanted to make helping area families a priority. When the library reached out, we were thrilled to join with the other churches to serve our community in their need.
The acts of mercy that those who are united to Christ live out in their daily lives are one of the ways that God's love is manifest to the world. Who knows, the connections that our members make at the library may open the doors for someone to hear for the first time that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised for our justification. God's people doing the little things in their daily lives to serve their neighbor and share the love of Christ Jesus are beautiful works of the Holy Spirit through them. Now, a couple days a month, members of Hill Country are doing what they can to help while the library is in this transition period. Please pray that the Lord will use the good works of our members to glorify our Father in heaven.
