“Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.” - 2 Timothy 1:13-14 

The saints of Hill Country have a pastor! A new chapter is beginning for us. We rejoice that God has ordained Pastor Joshua Bieri to serve the people of Viroqua. This brings many benefits, such as being able to partake in the Lord’s Supper every Sunday and having a pastor whose sole focus will be on the needs of our budding congregation. We also thank God for Faith Lutheran Church in La Crosse and Pastor Jacob Eichers who has faithfully served us in the beginning phases of the church plant until we were able to call a pastor. We look forward to our continued relationship with Faith and wish Pastor Eichers the best as he transitions to a new call. Those of you who have attended services at Hill Country before have likely met Pastor Eichers. He has recently accepted a call to become the pastor for Zion Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Please pray that God would be with the saints of Faith Lutheran Church in La Crosse as they begin the process of calling a new pastor to serve them, and for Pastor Eichers and his family as they prepare to move and serve a different congregation in July. Also, pray that the Holy Spirit will continue strengthen Pastor Bieri to hold fast to the sound words of Scripture, and for our transition as a congregation under his care as Christ’s ordained servant for us.
