But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God." - Luke 18:16

The spreading of God's Word is essential to being a Christian. Whether that be from Word or Sacrament, God's Word flows from His Hill Country. The past month has been filled with both! God makes people His children through Holy Baptism. Samuel Bieri, the newest member of God's family at Hill Country, was born from above and united to Christ on October 30th. This was the evening that All Saints' Day was observed. Samuel put on his white robe that is made that way in the blood of the Lamb. He was given the Holy Spirit and made a saint as we celebrated all of the saints who are currently going through the tribulation in this world and those who have gone through it and are basking in the light of Christ on His throne of glory in His eternal rest. God creates His saints through these waters and in hearing His Word.

The people of Hill Country were busy hitting the street with the Gospel of Christ as well. On October 18th they joined with students from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis to canvas Viroqua and Westby. They went door to door discussing with all who would hear them Christ crucified for the salvation of all. Pastor Eichers and Vicar Bieri have been following up with people who wanted to hear more from the discussions that they had with the members of Hill Country and the seminarians. We pray that God would continue to create His saints through the efforts of His faithful people here in Viroqua.

Word and Sacrament ministry is certainly in full swing at Hill Country. The LORD promises to continue to work through His faithful people to witness the truth of Christ's life, death, and resurrection for the salvation of all mankind. This is the work of the saints who are still going through this world. Lucky for us, it is the Holy Spirit who is doing the work through us. God gives the growth. He continues to bring His children to Him through the waters of Holy Baptism and the hearing of His Gospel. Pray with us that God would sustain His saints at Hill Country so this task is done faithfully and to His glory.
